Eric H. Selmon is the Co-founder and Partner of Power Research Group, LLC, and the Co-Head of Utilities and Renewable Energy Research at SSR LLC since 2016.

Eric is also co-founder of MADA Analytics, an energy storage software company that has developed tools for project developers and investors to optimize the value of hybrid renewable and energy storage projects. Prior to forming PRG, Mr. Selmon was a Principal and Senior Research Analyst at Longbow Capital Partners, a utility and infrastructure focused hedge fund.  Previously, Mr. Selmon was a member of Sanford Bernstein’s industry-leading power and utility research team.  Prior to graduation from law school, Mr. Selmon worked for Mercer Management Consulting, where he provided strategic counsel to oil, gas and power companies. As an independent consultant, Mr. Selmon has provided financial advisory and strategic consulting services to companies in the utility, independent power, renewable energy and cleantech industries.

 

Eric received a B.S. in Environmental Technology with distinction from Stanford University and subsequently earned a M.S. in Energy Engineering with a concentration in Energy Technology and Policy from Stanford University.  Eric also earned a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School with a focus on Regulatory and Administrative Law and is a member of the bar in New York and New Jersey.
